3-month contract Overview Supporting the assistant controller to achieve the objectives of on time and accurate financial reporting for a global leader in sustainable technologies, please apply! Responsibilities Undertake a range of duties within the accounting function assisting the following areas:
accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor maintenance, intercompany reconciliation & settlements, fixed asset management and management reporting.
Assist the Assistant Controller, achieve the objectives of on time and accurate financial reporting.
This will be done via:
Ensuring accounts payable batches are posted prior to payment runs & month end Setting up new vendors in the system; updating vendor data.
Processing intercompany payments Capitalizing open projects from construction in progress.
Completing fixed asset verifications Release shipments to customers after reviewing customer's credit limit & reviewing account for past due balances.
Maintain reconciliations of fixed assets & intercompany balances Other Tasks will include:
Assist in the preparation of journal entries, account analyses and reconciliations that support month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Complete FA packs at half-year & year end.

Degree in Accounting 2-3 years of direct and relevant experience Intermediate knowledge of Excel i.

pivot tables, V-look ups Working knowledge of General Ledger Essential Basic understanding of a Commodities Recommended Skills Accounting Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Commodity Market Construction General Ledger Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
